HISTORY

Our background

The Scholz Group was originally based in Recklinghausen, Germany and was founded by Harold Scholz.The company was established in Cologne in the year 1902.

In those days, Harold Scholz had contacts with Bayer and put forward the proposal to market the iron oxides that Bayer produced.To this day, this is the core business of the Scholz Group.Since 2000, the Scholz Group has also been the exclusive distributor of the Bayferrox^® inorganic colour pigments and Chromium Oxide Green pigments for most of Europe.

In 2004, BAYER partially transferred and conducted a number of its chemical activities under the new company, LANXESS.

Scholz Benelux started its activities as an independent division of the Scholz Group in 1991.It represents the interests of its suppliers among customers in the Benelux countries.

In addition to the previously mentioned Bayferrox colour pigments and Chromium Oxide Green pigments, the delivery package has expanded over the decades to include Titanium Oxide, Carbon pigments, black pigment mixes & Light stable pigments.Available in all possible delivery and packaging forms and units.
