Dosing technique: expertise and accuracy
Besides the well known dosing systems for dry pigments we also have several kinds of dosing systems for liquid pigments at our disposal. Either you are producer of concrete mortar, pavement, prefab; we have the right solution for you. The advantages of liquid pigments as opposed to dry pigments are interesting. The liquid form eliminates dust, impurities and waste accumulated from paper bags and big bags. The containers in which we deliver our slurries can be returned to us free of charge. If so required, we can deliver the slurries in containers of any desired quantity.
Advantages of slurries
-
Stable during storage
-
No dust
-
Fully dispersed slurry results in optimal colour strength
-
Returnable containers
-
Also usable at temperatures below the freezing point, with antifreeze on request
-
Easy dosage:
-
divides simply in a concrete mixture
-
mixed colours ready-made provided
For small-scale, thematic pigment requirements, it is still customary to apply colour pigment dosages in low-melt packaging by hand. The low-melt bags do not have to be opened and fully melt at temperatures around 130 - 140º C. For applying pigment in greater quantities, automatic pigment dosing is often the preferred choice. For this purpose, Lanxess (formerly Bayer) has developed a pigment form called Bayferrox-Compact, which is a compacted iron oxide.
Custom built dosing systems
Our dosing systems are widely used in concrete factories throughout Europe. The dosing systems are designed for full compatibility with the properties of coloured slurries and various manufacturing situations. Each dosing system is geared to your factory's needs and requirements.
